A longtime resident of Tiruchirapalli. Born in 1961 to father Krishnan and mother Sivagami, with five other children in the family, has been living near FSM shopping mall.
Mr. Krishnan tragically lost both his parents at a young age and in 1976 had to dramatically leave his home after forceful evacuation of the surrounding area for safety reasons. Roads have been his home since then. Mr. Krishnan is now a low-wage laborer (coolie), who is meeting his needs from his daily wages that he makes from being a porter, cobbler, etc.
He had a happy past that is seen from his old shiny wrist watch, fancy chains and golden rings. He said, ‘those are from my grandpa’, with a smile on his face. He usually gets one pack of food for him and advised us not to give more than a pack for a person. I agree - we should always share the resources evenly. Making many happy is better than making a few feel full.
He enjoyed mimicking a lot and shared so many entertaining stories. He was talkative! He even expressed his anger for his inability to support himself. I see dignity in all these needy faces. We can all agree that hunger is brutal and can make anyone helpless.
PSR does not just feed the hunger of these beautiful human beings but also satisfies them by it’s quality and taste. In this beautiful journey, through us, you will meet one amazing person everyday and get to know a soulful fraction of their life.
